There Is Nothing Special About The Water
What makes baptism significant isn't the water — it's the decision you've already made. Baptism is how you say it out loud.
What it means
An Outward Sign Of An Inward Change
Baptism declares three things: that you are a follower of Jesus Christ, that you are beginning a changed life in Him, and that you belong to a new family.
Going under the water represents Christ's death and burial. Coming up out of it represents His resurrection — and the new life that is now yours.
It doesn't save you; faith in Jesus does that. But it is an essential step of obedience, and it is worth celebrating properly.
On the day
What To Expect
We have everything ready for you — towels, dark clothing, hair caps and sandals. Bring a change of clothes and a towel for afterwards if you'd prefer your own.
A pastor will talk you through exactly what happens before you get anywhere near the water, and will be with you the whole way. It takes about thirty seconds and you'll be back in your seat before you know it.

- Towels, dark clothing, hair caps and sandals are all provided.
- A pastor will conduct your baptism and guide you through it.
- Invite whoever you'd like there — family, friends, anyone.

Baptism Questions
Why should I get baptised?
Because Jesus asked us to, and because saying something out loud in front of people changes how you carry it. It's a line in the sand you'll look back on.
Do I need to be baptised to be saved?
No. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus alone. Baptism is the step of obedience that follows that decision, not the thing that earns it.
I was baptised as a baby. Should I do it again?
Infant baptism is a beautiful thing your parents did on your behalf. Being baptised now is you making that decision for yourself — many people choose to, and we'd celebrate either way.
What should I wear?
Dark, comfortable clothing you don't mind getting wet. We provide dark clothing, towels, hair caps and sandals if you'd rather use ours.
Can my children be baptised?
Yes, if they've made their own decision to follow Jesus and can explain what that means to them. One of our pastors will have a short conversation with you and your child first.
Can I invite people?
Please do. Bring everyone. This is one of the best days you'll have at this church and it should be full of the people who love you.
